  • Here are some final updates for Saturday’s show. The talent pool keeps getting bigger! Joining the band will be string bass player Miles Jay, who will be trekking down from northern Cal. Miles has studied extensively with some of the best Middle Eastern ensembles, including an extended contract with the Cairo symphony orchestra. He just rocks that grandaddy uber-violin!

Dancing in the show are ladies too talented for description: Dahlena, Ava Fleming, Carrie Konyha, Melissa, Neena Nour, Amanda Rose, and Ziva! Really, really too spectacular for words.

People are traveling from far and wide for the show and workshops, including our celebrity guest participant Bahaia from Austin, TX, as well as folks from Nevada, California, Tucson, Flagstaff, Sedona, Waddell and Yuma. Catch up with Bahaia and ask her about some of the fabulous teaching seminars she has coming up! There will be vending at the show, so you can stock up on CD’s and educational DVD’s, as well as hip Egyptian jewelry and dance gear.

Pre-registration will be open until Wednesday. Pre-registrants get in first to pick their seats, so best to buy early and stake out a good spot. Regardless of where you are or what you’re doing this weekend, please get out in the beautiful weather and enjoy some of the fabulous events! I’ll see you soon!
